Emmanuel Ntonga After 37 years in power, Paul Biya’s record of catastrophic failures is easy to demonstrate. We live completely in a dictatorship: period.

In this country everything is forbidden: demonstrations are prohibited, making public speaches  can take you to jail, elections are rigged at all levels, political leaders are incarcerated and are subjected to military tribunals, no rally is allowed except those of the ruling party.

Elecam, which is the key tool in the organization of elections, is in the hands of the regime.

I don’t know how people can talk about democracy. It's just a dictatorship that wants to stay in place.

We live in a dictatorship in Cameroon. The Sdf will continue its struggle for democratie as as it has always been doing.  All we want is to continue this struggle until we have a consensual electoral code,  presidential elections in two rounds, an independent electoral body that will be in charge of organizing elections.

We have been working on it for many years and nothing will stop us. Paul Biya's will not live eternally. We will lead the Cameroonian people to true democracy in peace, without violence and in dignity.
